Position Summary: We are seeking skilled Growers to join our team, with opportunities available for individuals with proven practical experience and/or postgraduate qualifications in horticultural science or comparable studies. Growers will have access to the latest cutting-edge technology and ongoing training and development from world-leading specialists.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage climate and irrigation of controlled environments greenhouse via Priva climate computer system
- Implement Integrated Pest and Disease Management (IPDM) programs
- Supervise staff and ensure efficient workflow
- Collect and analyze climate and crop data
- Maintain crops, ensuring optimal growth and health
- Work weekends and participate in a rostered working schedule (ensuring all growers have suffcient time off!)
- Be available for after-hours on-call duties
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in greenhouse operations or relevant horticultural education
- Knowledge of climate and irrigation management systems, particularly Priva
- Understanding of IPDM principles and practices
- Strong analytical skills for data collection and interpretation
- Excellent supervisory and communication skills
- Flexibility to work weekends and be on call as needed
